General Question

1Q. For environmental studies which subject should I choose in Class 11?
A. However, those applying for an undergraduate (bachelor's) degree in environmental science can expect to be asked for a diploma of secondary education, including good grades in at least one of the following related subjects: biology, chemistry, economics, geography, geology, mathematics or physics.
There are a few types of courses of study available in this general area. “Environmental Studies” degrees tend to be the least quantitative (they have less maths and more reading and writing), “Environmental Science” degrees are intermediate, and “Environmental Engineering” degrees are more technical and mathematical.
You can find out what courses are studied in the environmental science degrees near you by checking the websites of the universities that you are interested in. They will also have information about recommended or required pre-requisites to study at school before starting an environmental science degree. In the environmental science degree that I completed years ago, required core courses included:
  • Introduction to Environmental Science
  • Ecology
  • Environmental Biology
